Traditional craftmanship, with its artistry and skill, is slowly losing its place.At the same time, modern objects are mass-produced and consumed faster than ever, often without real value. Coexistence explores thes opposing forces, searching for a balance where the old and the overabundant meet.

Seeking to re-interpret the traditional slow process of craftmanship, while integrating it with modern techniques. These contemporary methods not only open up new possibillities, but also challenge the creation of a unique visual language. Through the interplay of tradition and innovation, a dynamic tension emerges- where artisanal precision and technological advancement enhance one another.

Animal Girl, showcased 2013 at Art Fair Köln the and Maxima, showcased at the First Art Fair in Amsterdam, are modern female archetypes, created in ceramic a few years ago. They are characterized by countless small details, a challenging dynamic in their movement with a touch of bold character.

One of the first pieces created with a mix of different materials, including found objects, combined with handcrafted ceramic ornaments.

The crown is composed of multiple individually cast elements, made from casting clay.

On the left Showgirl a true show-off girl, a bold and dazzling expression of modern femininity. And the Sea Warrior a powerfull symbol of the untamed energy of the ocean.

Showcased and sold on the Biennale Vugt in 2009

Both sculptures are finished with a pearlescent glaze on two different clay tones, creating a vibrant playof light and color that enhances their dynamic and expressive details.

Brasil showcased at the Art Fair Cologne in 2014. The body and boots of the sculpture are made of ceramic and the delicate wings and crown-like headpiece, as well as the chest area, are crafted from porcelain.

Big Rose showcased at the Biennale Vught, one of the largest sculptures,crafted from ceramic and a bronze coating. This unique piece stands in an incredibly challenging pose for ceramic techniques. It commands the space almost like a goddess, taking up every inch of its surroundings, a visual statement.
