Little Mary, Marietje belongs to a recurring family of ‘Marietjes’ in my work. They are recurring figures in which I give folklore, traditional forms and craftsmanship a contemporary interpretation. This unique ceramic work is also the “mother model” from which later 3D sculptures were developed.
Glazed ceramic
47 × 8 × 10 cm
Unique work.
